About rose Red Eye

The "Red Eye" rose is a distinctive rose known for its scarlet petals and striking, leaf-like emerald green center, making it look like it has a "red eye". It is a repeat-blooming shrub rose that reaches about 70-90 cm tall and is highly resistant to common diseases like blackspot and powdery mildew. Due to its unique appearance, long vase life (up to 16 days), and strong disease resistance, it is popular as a cut flower.

Characteristics

  • Appearance: Scarlet red petals surround a visible emerald green center, giving it its name. The petals are slightly wavy and densely packed in a rosette shape.
  • Size: The blooms are 8-10 cm in diameter, and the plant grows 50-70 cm tall with a compact, bushy habit.
  • Fragrance: It has minimal to no fragrance.
  • Blooming: It is a repeat bloomer, meaning it flowers throughout the season.
  • Disease Resistance: It has excellent resistance to common rose diseases like blackspot and powdery mildew.
  • Vase Life: It has a long vase life, lasting up to 16 days.

Use

  • Cut flower: Its unique look and long vase life make it a popular choice for floral arrangements and bouquets.
  • Garden plant: Its compact size and high disease resistance make it suitable for smaller gardens, containers, and general landscaping.
